7. Be able to walk up stairs and stand alone

1. Use a medium-size round brush to apply charcoal gray powder in an arch shape just above the crease of the lid.

Then blend down to the lash line.

2. Trace the upper lash line with a soft black pencil, then gently smudge with your fingertip.

3. With a smaller, firm-bristle brush, press a gunmetal shade into the lower lash line.

4. Apply a pale silver powder to the inner corners of the eyes to lighten the overall effect.

5. Pile on mascara.

Stress is linked to so many ailments, what better than a reflexology session to calm the nervous system and send the message to the body to relax?! Reflexology has been found to be helpful in the reduction of tension and stress, promoting balance, improving circulation and can assist in one's own healing process. Here's how a Relflexology Foot Massage can help:

Headaches:

Big toes, little toes, inside and belly of the foot. The big toes are where the head, brain, pituitary/pineal glands, & upper cervical spine (neck) reflexes are located. The tips of all the little toes coincide with the head, brain and sinus reflexes (great for sinus headaches).

The spinal reflex resides along the inside or medial aspect of each foot, also very effective since the spine is where the nervous system is housed.

Menstrual Cramps:

If you have always had very painful menstrual cramps, then you will discover, through receiving reflexology regularly, that your menstrual discomfort can be given relief and the associated back and joint pain can be decreased substantially! The areas that are most effective are the reflexes to the reproductive and endocrine systems.

• Give attention to the sides of the heel (medial and lateral aspect of each foot); this is where the ovary and uterus reflexes can be found.

• The endocrine system consists of the pituitary gland, the thyroid and parathyroid glands, adrenal gland, pancreas, and ovaries.

Tummy Ache:

The area that corresponds to the digestive system reflexes is located on the bottom plantar aspect of each foot. Many of the reflexes to the integral organs that contribute and play key roles in the digestive process are all located here.

• This is a great area to give attention to in general as the arch of the foot can really use the care after a day in shoes pounding concrete as well. I refer to this area as the belly of the foot as it's the softer portion of the plantar aspect (between the ball and heel) of each foot.

Moroccan Oil for Winter Hair

Although split-ends are a year round problem, they can be worsened in the winter, when hair dries out even more than usual. According to Susan Boccia, Schwarzkopf Professional's national trainer, the best way to rid your locks of split ends is to get a haircut. In addition, Boccia recommends using a product, like Moroccan Oil, aimed at preventing split ends before they start because it’s much easier to prevent damage than to repair it. Look for products that include hydrating ingredients, such as silicone oil.

To prevent dryness and irritation on the scalp, which is caused by dehydration due to extreme temperatures, Boccia once again recommends using Moroccan Oil. This moisture-focused product will keep both hair and scalp balanced and hydrated, so they can stand up against the elements. Products with panthenol are also great for preventing an itchy scalp because this ingredient has the ability to bind moisture so it lasts longer. According to Boccia, hyaluronic acid is another key ingredient to look for. Of course, these ingredients only work for mild dry scalps—if you suffer from a medical condition, you may need medicated products to solve the problem instead.

Memphis Zoo on Ice Opens Tonight!

Memphis Zoo on Ice opens tonight, making ice skating available in the city for the first time since the Mall of Memphis and its indoor ice rink closed seven years ago.

It can hold about 100 skaters at a time and will be open a total of 740 hours between now and Jan. 30. Zoo Lights and the skating rink also will be open at 5:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Lee Dewyze at Graceland tonight!

Lee DeWyze, winner of the ninth season of "American Idol" will flip the switch on Graceland's holiday lights tonight! The free, annual lighting celebration at the home of Elvis Presley features hundreds of blue lights along the driveway of the 13.8-acre property, a life-size Nativity scene, Santa and his sleigh, and Presley's Christmas decor inside the mansion. The event will support the American Red Cross, which will have a Bloodmobile on site.

Santa will also be available for pictures with the kids throughout the evening’s festivities.

Lighting of the tree starts at 6pm.

What Causes Adult Acne?

Halloween is just around the corner, and that means that before long many of us will be painting our faces, eating several days worth of sugar supply in one sitting and potentially seeing the effects of these actions on our skin in the days and weeks that follow. We love Halloween, but we love beautiful skin more. Here are five quick tips on how to celebrate Halloween and still have perfect skin going into the holiday months.

1. Wash Off Your Costume Makeup!

Whatever you do, no matter how tired you are when you come in after your Halloween party or gathering, be sure to wash off your makeup! Costume makeup is particularly oily and can clog pores to cause acne breakouts or to give you a dull look to your skin in the days that follow. Use a good skin cleanser, and be sure to rinse thoroughly since the makeup may be thick!

2. Don’t Buy Cheap Costume Makeup!

There are premium (and even some organic) face paint makeup kits out there in beauty world. This is one instance where, even though you may only use the makeup once a year, it’s worth it to buy a better product. After all, looking great for one night isn’t worth damaging your skin for months afterwards.

3. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

It will certainly be likely that you will not be eating your normal diet around the big Halloween night. It will be even more likely that you will be eating and drinking all kinds of things that aren’t on the list of “the ideal healthy diet for beautiful skin from the inside out.” Make sure you get enough water and don’t just indulge in the bowls of candy!

4. Moisturize Before Applying Makeup!
